SOL is an international family-owned company with a history in Finland dating back to 1848. Our history
The history of SOL dates back to 1848, when Lindström Oy was founded in Helsinki, and is now one of the oldest companies still operating in Finland. The company was originally engaged in dyeing and laundry services.
1991. In 2007, the owner’s granddaughter Liisa Joronen bought the cleaning and waste management services part of the family business and created SOL, a sunny name chosen by the company’s employees. The company started its international operations in Estonia in 2001 and expanded to the Baltic and Nordic countries.
To this day, SOL is a family business, actively managed by Liisa Joronen’s descendants Peppi Kaira and Juhapekka Joronen.
