An accountant who finds happiness and youth in work
30. May 2024
Laimutė started working as an accountant in Yglė, which later joined the SOL company. Although officially she has been working at SOL for 10 years, in fact she has been working in the same chair for 16 years.
When asked how she feels at SOL, Laimute smiles, “SOL team, it’s like a family. When managers changed, it became to be more pleasant to work, they value you more as a person. We talk about everything with our colleagues, we console ourselves, we are joking. Colleagues who work together are fun, have a good sense of humor.”
Laimute describes herself in one word – cheerful. If she is working, she is serious and focused, because the work is responsible, but during the break she likes to be among her colleagues and joke together. “I’m already older, but I like working with younger colleagues. I am interested in their attitude, how they communicate with each other. Then I feel younger myself.”
When Laimute was 27 years old, her husband died and she was left alone with a two-year-old son. It was difficult to raise her son and work alone, but the fact that she did not give up and remained strong is her greatest achievement. Now that everything is settled, Laimute devotes a lot of time to her hobbies – she reads a lot, listens to various music, from rock, folk music to classical works. Favorite band is The Roop. In addition to visiting concerts, theaters and cinemas, Laimutei likes to travel a lot. Since her beloved husband is not around, she usually travels with her friends.
Laimute plans to use the travel gift voucher received on the occasion of the 10th anniversary for a vacation in Turkey with her son next year. She is looking forward to this holiday the most.
